Visual Storytelling

Combining sight AND sound to tell a story makes for a memorable experience. Think of those touching image commercials that have moved us over the years, like the powerful, ground-rattling Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales coming to rescue the young lab puppy. Or, the high-energy, sweaty, Gatorade commercials that make you want to jump off your couch and get in a football game at that moment. What emotions are these brands evoking in their consumers? They're certainly memorable and powerful and they did it all without saying, "buy my beer NOW - on sale NOW for $4.99 - do it NOW". There was no call-to-action. They weren't in our faces. They told a story that made us want to be part of that scene. They use engaging and memorable story-telling to illicit a response from their target consumer groups and they make it look easy.


When we can see and hear a story unfolding before our eyes it significantly increases our recall of the story. This is why many companies continue to use video in their branding strategy. Whether it's a longer video launched across multiple social media platforms or a shorter version of that story used in a television commercial video makes for phenomenal story-telling!
