Our Top 3 Favorite Uses for Video

There are a million different ways to use video in business and in life (but that’s a separate blog) and here are a few of our favorites.  Here are three ways in which we have incorporated video into our client’s marketing strategies and hit a home-run:

 

  1. Social Media Video Vignettes:  Nothing engages better on a social media platform than video. Having a high-energy, fast-paced, short video embedded on social media is a slam-dunk.  It needs to be high-quality and purposeful in message and never forget the “call-to-action” at the end. Video takes a social media post from blah to interesting immediately.

  2. Email Marketing with Video:  Do you have those hard-to-reach prospects who you can't get into see?  Reach out to them with a video message via email.  Share a short video (no longer than 60-90 seconds) that introduces your business, tells the company “story”, shares the “why” people should do business with you, and asks that prospective customer to take a next step.  The video must feature a well-spoken person who is engaging and comfortable on camera or it could be a clever, well-illustrated animated / graphics video.  This is your “commercial” so to speak. People would rather watch a message than read a message so go ahead and give them what they want.

  3. Business Profile Video: This style of video is an absolute must in our digitally-obsessed world. It is truly expected at this point to have a video on your website introducing your company and services to audiences searching for what you offer (around 90-120 seconds in length).  Embedding video on your website serves multiple purposes.  First, it improves your organic search results (Google LOVES video, clearly, they own You Tube). Secondly, it increases engagement on your website and grabs people’s attention during the “research” phase.  Lastly, it provides an opportunity for prospective clients to connect with you and gain a greater understanding of our business.  And this, my friend, is what separates you from your competition during the research phase and improves conversion rate.
